The 99.8% pure Alumina tray sinters at a higher temperature than zirconia. Its maximum temperature is 1700°C (3092°F). This makes it perfect for sintering Zirconia dental restorations. As sintering ovens get older and the heating elements start to deteriorate, contaminants can radiate into most trays and cause permanent stains in the zirconia restorations.
